Q I already manage my domain at a domain management company. What settings do I need to change to allow my website at hubExpert to work? You need to change the nameservers listed for the domain to: -
ns1.hubexpert.com

If the domain you have registered is aabbccdd.com, you can access your web site by going to the following address in your web browser: -

Spam emails are a great annoyance to everybody and unfortunately are rife throughout the entire internet community.
Many ISPs and hosting companies filter email before it reaches their customers to provide the illusion of a spam-free environment. Although often the settings can be modified either via a web site control panel or by request to the ISP, the default settings often delete emails assumed to be spam before they even reach you.
No anti-spam filtering process is 100% accurate, and there will be inevitable false positives (FPs). This means that by deleting assumed spam email before it reaches you, some genuine emails are likely to be lost.
hubExpert does NOT adopt this policy. By default, we enable spam filtering on your account, but do NOT delete the emails labelled as spam. These emails will arrive at your inbox, but have modified email headers.
Programs such as Microsoft Outlook can automatically sort emails with specific header content into a separate folder, and this is the policy we advise so that you can check that the emails really are spam.
There are other options available - please see the spam filtering section of the FAQs for more details.
Q What are my email connection details? If your domain registered with hubExpert is aabbccdd.com, your email connection details are: -

POP3 password: POPPW
where POPID and POPPW are the POP3 username and password for your email account, set up via your web site's control panel.

spam filtering
Q How do I set up my email program to filter spam? Please consult your email program's help menu for specific instructions.
As an example, in Microsoft Outlook - go to the Tools/Rules Wizard... menu to create a filtering rule.
To filter on email header content, look for header content of
"X-Spam-Flag: YES"
To filter on subject line content (if we have enabled subject line modification for you), look for subject lines starting with
"**SPAM ("
[Do not include the quotation marks in the search strings.]
Q What spam email filtering options are available? Most email programs have facilities to filter emails with specific content into a specific email folder or delete them entirely. The better programs can filter on email header content, others can only filter on the content of the email subject line.
For example, Microsoft Outlook can filter on email header content, but Microsoft Outlook Express cannot and requires the subject line to be amended.
By default we will enable the anti-spam filtering on your account to amend the email headers only.
If you require the subject line of spam emails to be modified please contact support.
Two other alternatives exist.
We can configure spam emails to be delivered to a separate folder on our servers. You can configure your email program to check this folder on our server like a separate inbox, but this has the disadvantage that you can easily reach your email quota without realising.
The other option is to delete assumed spam emails before they are delivered to your inbox. Although you may be used to this with some other ISPs, you do run the risk of missing a small number of genuine emails this way because you cannot manually check the emails before they are discarded.
